News: Peter Greenaway's The Tulse Luper Suitcase
According to Billboard, Madonna's next film role (following hubby Guy Ritchie's stab at a remake of Lina Wertmüller's Swept Away by an Unusual Destiny in the Blue Sea of August) will be in Peter Greenaway's forthcoming The Tulse Luper Suitcase. Also slated to appear, per a page dedicated to the multi-media project at petergreenaway.co.uk, are Debbie Harry, Vincent Gallo, Don Johnson, Isabella Rossellini, Fairuza Balk, Ewan McGregor, Franka Potente and fucking Molly Ringwald. (No word yet on how many of them will be naked.) How can you not want to see this?

No meaningful commentary from me -- I checked out on Greenaway a decade ago and am not surprised to hear ugly rumors about the Guy Ritchie/Madonna "Swept Away" (the sexual politics were dubious enough with Wertmuller in charge). Just wanted to offer my support of your weblog venture, a welcome addition to the site. Keep on truckin'...

I'll watch pretty much anything Greenaway does, just because I find his gift for collaboration, if not his very own filmmaking skills, mesmerizing. Prospero's Books, for instance, I just find luxuriant, with the incredibly dense imagery -- from a time when a program called Paintbox was all the rage for CGI work -- and John Gielgud nattering on alongside all those naked bodies, with the great Sacha Vierny's gorgeous camerawork and a cascading score by Michael Nyman.
I'd watch it tonight, if there were only a decent home video version. And that gives me something else to write about ...

mon nom est sophie et je suis une fan de Don Johnson.Donc cela veut dire qu'il faut absolument que je vois et obtienne cette trilogie, que ce soit en vhs ou dvd ou autre.
J'espère qu'il va sortir en belgique et bientôt.
Si quelqu'un peu me rensegner ce serait super.
