It’s a nice idea for a theater, with foreign films, revivals, and current arthouse faves playing pretty much in perpetuity. Screens are smallish, but both projection and sound are decent -- head and shoulders above their downtown competition. The biggest hassle is getting the bored staff to tell you where your particular feature is going to line up. Nothing special, but if you want to see a Fellini revival or the new Mike Leigh film, you could certainly do worse. B-. (Frazer) Great ambiance, and it's an extremely pleasant place to watch a film -- except that their screens are postage-stamp tiny. While it's nice to see a theater that shows a film for an extended period of time, Lincoln Plaza could use a lot more turnover in their movie selection. Like the State, one of the few theaters where the film selection seems geared to a particular audience (in this case, older upper-class "high culture" types -- the ones you would expect to attend a concert at Lincoln Center.)
